Chantecaille HD Perfecting Powder ($72 for 0.42 oz.) was created for HD (high definition) cameras and to create a porcelain like complexion during photo shoots.
Powder comes in a silver packaging. One minus is it does not come with a brush so you have to get your own or carry one around. The powder is nearly white with a very slight pink peach look. It is super fine milled. When you swipe your brush over it you can actually see the brush marks. The powder is translucent, very lightweight and silky.
You can either apply with a big powder brush (such as Tom Ford Bronzer Brush Click here for review) or a synthetic foundation brush. Do not swirl the brush just delicately swipe the brush over the powder. You can dust of the excess powder before application.
The powder does not accentuate my pores, which is a challenge for me with most of the pressed powders. It looks matte. Although it looks quite pale in the pan, powder is sheer on the skin. It covers imperfections and my skin looks blurred. Well, the purpose of this powder is not to make your skin look natural but to look like it has been photoshopped. I apply the powder at the end after foundation. I carry around the powder for touch ups during the day.
Here is a swatch. It has been heavily applied to you could see the color. When distributed you do not see the color just blurred skin.

How does it make the skin blurry? Mostly due to the silicone combination in the ingredients. It is hard to achieve that HD look with natural / naturally derived powders. No parabens or mineral oil.

I was very curious about this one, thanks for the review. It it looks matte, it might not work all that well on my normal to dry skin though. I don’t see any moisturizing ingredient in there, right?

No nothing intensely moisturizing. It may work on you. The application should be very sheer to achieve the HD effect otherwse it looks dusty. :)
