The Creme Abricot was created in 1963 and it is one of the cult classic products of Dior. It is a rich cuticle balm with a subtle apricot scent. Although it has been around since 1963, it is like the best kept secret among the people with bad cuticles or nail polish lovers.
Since winter came and I have been applying more nail polish, my cuticles and nails were a mess. Wearing gloves and washing my hands ever so often also hurts my cuticles and my nails started to peel more and more. I turned to Creme Abricot.
I love Dior nail polishes, Creme Abricot is a nice compliment to their nail care line. The packaging has a vintage look. Simple white little jar. The packaging channels late 1960’s glamour.
Creme Abricot nourishes and conditions cuticles. It is a bright salmon pink colored nail balm. Its texture is viscous, thick and sticky. But there is a reason for it. When you apply the balm, it completely sticks and covers the nail and the cuticle. You need a little amount per nail. You can push the cuticles (or not) and apply it. You can also use after your nail polish to moisturize your cuticles. I tried Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Cream and LUSH Lemony Flutter, Creme Abricot gave me the best results. I apply the balm at nights. At first it feels sticky but after a while it sinks in and doesn’t feel tacky anymore.
My nails and cuticles look much better after 3 weeks of use. Little tip: You can also use this as a sheer apricot lip gloss. It is great for chapped lips. So 2 uses with one product!

Well, the balm’s formula was designed in 1963, back then the natural cosmetics was not in favor. This formula has mineral oil (Parrafinum Liquidum; liquid paraffin) so if you do not favor it, this one may not be for you. Lanolin, mineral oil and beeswax are used to moisturize and strengthen the nails and cuticles. Glycine Soja protein and Lecithin are also added for strengthening purposes. There is no paraben as preservative.

Zamanında ben de kullanmıştım (1990 olmalı) ama rengi bu kadar koyu yavruağzı değildi o zamanlar. Çook hafif bir somon rengiydi. Zevkli yeni kutusu da çok hoşmuş…Bayıldım
