Tom Ford AW15 Runway Color (6gr/$42.00)… Is it a blush, a cream eye shadow, or a lip color?
All of the above! I love multi-functional products as they are quite useful when you are traveling and cannot get a lot of stuff with you.
Tom Ford AW15 Runway Color is limited edition.
Tom Ford Beauty says: “..light chocolate brown cream color for eye and cheek, was shown on the runway to illuminate the eyes and create a seductive but softened smoky eye look. The versatile formula creates a creamy, subtle sheen on cheeks, for a fresh, incandescent look ready for everyday wear. Providing medium to buildable coverage, the formula combines advanced color technology with antioxidant ingredients to deliver pure color with an ultra-smooth finish that is non-creasing and longwearing.”
This cream shadow does not have the whipped consistency of Platinum (my favorite; reviewed), Spice (reviewed) and Tom Ford Cream Eye Color for Spring 2015 (reviewed). AW2015 Runway Color has a stiff wax like feel to it.
Its pigmentation is medium but buildable, which makes it versatile to use. Depending on what you want you can used it darker or lighter. The wax-like formulation also makes it easy to use on lips and as a blush.
You can apply the Runway Color with your fingertips or a brush either way is fine.
The wear is impressive. It stays a long time on cheeks around 6-8 hours. On the lips and eyelids it looks like a stain rather than a shiny look. The Color does not have any shimmer at all but the delicate shine is coming from the castor oil in its formulation. So if you have oily eye lids definitely use it with an eye shadow primer (i.e. Tom Ford Eye Primer Duo; reviewed) to prolong the stay power.
Swatches under sunlight and inside
The color is brick-red like with chocolate undertones. The color does not have shimmer but it is perfect as it is. It can be used on lips for a stain effect or on eyelids for a brown smoky look that would be perfect for the beach or summer days.
Ingredients
It is rich in castor seed oil(first ingredient in the list) which provides the shine and delicate texture to Runway Color. Lanolin oil is especially good if you have dry skin. The candelilla wax, other waxes, murumuru butter, shea butter give the hard wax like consistency to the product. As a preservative Phenoxyethanol was used.
Nice formulation with strong pigmentation. Definitely a must have for any Tom Ford Beauty connoisseur.
