Tom Ford Negligee and Twist of Fate Lip Color: Review, Swatches, Ingredients

Tom Ford Fall 2014 Collection comes with two limited edition lipsticks: Negligee and Twist of Fate. This one is another picture heavy post and here we go. :)

Negligee Lip Color (#30; $50.00/ 0.10 oz.) is a beautiful and rich medium toned pinkish brown with  deep purple mauve undertones. It is opaque with one application.

You can see very very subtle microshimmers in the lipstick but on the lips they do not shine. Negligee has a very exquisite finish on the lips.

Depending on your own lip color it changes. If you have a darker lip color, Negligee looks like a rich nude shade. With lighter lip colors, Negligee becomes a sultry pink with elegant brown mauve touches. Quite versatile.

Application is creamy and does not pull the lips. Stay power is impressive. It lasts at least 6 hours. It is moisturizing and feels nice on the lips.

Twist of Fate Lip Color: Warm orange coral with non frosty finish. Corals do not look very good on me but this one was nice. Of the two Negligee is my go to lipstick. Finish is fully opaque with even one swipe. Creamy and moisturizing on the lips. Lovely.

Swatches

Indian Rose Lip Color (click here for review) is a tad lighter and pinker than Negligee. Negligee is a little bit warmer leaning more towards a brown undertone compared to Indian Rose. I also swatched Sable Smoke so you can see the pink tones in Negligee and Indian Rose.

Like other Tom Ford Lip Colors, Negligee and Twist of Fate have lipid-rich emollient ceramide 3, emollient soybean seed extract, moisturizing and softening Brazilian murumuru butter,  chamomille flower oil, wheat germ extract , barley extract and shea butter. Very good ingredients.One day, I would love to meet formulators of Tom Ford products.
