Nature is a treasure chest with lots of goodies for our skin. Today I will touch base the properties of some oils that are in our facial oils. The oils I will discuss here are in the liquid category and predominantly used ones in beauty industry.

Grapeseed Oil:

Absorbed very easily with low oily feeling, it is a great oil used in skin treatments and face serums, where antioxidant properties are needed to fight against free radical damage. One of my favorite oils hails from seeds of Camellia flower originating from Japan. It is quickly absorbed leaving the skin feeling smooth and without oily feel. It is rich in essential fatty acids such as oleic acid, Omega 3,9, and 9, Vitamin E, which can protect from free radical damage and nourish the skin. This oil is produced from Tamanu trees originating from Madagascar. It is a dark viscous oil with superior emolliency. It has a history of being used as a skin ailment to heal and soothe minor cuts, rashes and dry skin. Comedogenic rating: Moderately Low
