Armani Luminous Silk-Mac Studio Fix-Guerlain Parure Extreme Foundations

Finding the perfect foundation is a never ending quest. There are so many selections out there.
I will briefly compare MAC Studio Fix Foundation, Armani Luminous Silk Foundation and Guerlain Parure Extreme.

Mac Studio Fix Foundation SPF 15

Depending on your application, the coverage could be sheer to full. It is flexible and buildable. You can use it with sponge or brush. The texture feels powdery and silky. Once it dries it bonds to your skin and you can wear it for a long time. Based on my experience, it is a bit heavy for oily skin. More suitable for dry and combination skins. It also has SPF 15. It does not have parabens.

Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

The coverage is medium depending on application. You can go from sheer and build it for more coverage. It is great for covering scars or pores. It does not accentuate wrinkles. This foundation does not have oil controlling properties but it is oil-free. The staying power was really good on my oily skin with primer. It does not crease or feel heavy. The texture is ligher compared to Guerlain and Mac. It spreads perfectly on the skin. It did not break me out and felt light as a feather.  There is no SPF factor. I kinda liked this better because I like applying SPF sunscreen separately. It has parabens in its formula. The scent is very light.

Color #4: A Light sand with yellow undertones, Shade for Medium-Fair
Color #5: A Light beige, Shade for Medium-Fair
Color #5.5: Beige with pink undertones, Shade for Medium
I liked #5 for my skin color for winter, 5.5 could be better for summer.

Guerlain Parure Extreme Fluid Foundation

The coverage is medium to heavy. You may not need a concealer with this one since it has great coverage with matte finish. The texture is light and liquid easy to apply. It is very pigmented. A little bit goes a long way. The foundation gives a matte even finish. It did not break me out. I would recommend shaking this one and all other foundations before use. It lasts all day. Does not crease or melt from your face. This foundation is heavier than Armani so the feel is different as well. This one has parabens. Parure Extreme does not have a lot of color choices compared to Mac or Armani. The SPF is 25 and it is water resistant.

Color Beige Claire 02: This is a nice beige shade for medium skin
Color Beige Moyen 04: this is a darker shade, Better for tanned skins.
