Tom Ford Eye Color Quad: Orchid Haze

Tom Ford Fall 2013 Collection has a (hopefully) a permanent star: Orchid Haze. This quad is quite different than the other Tom Ford quads with a strong and sensual personality. Orchid Haze is a delicate and soft like an Orchid.

The packaging is gorgeous like other quads. It comes in a velvet brown pouch and 2 applicators. One applicator has a excellent quality brush with a sponge at the other end. Other applicator has a thin and a thick sponges. The mirror is big and good quality.

Shades are just beautiful. The texture of the powders are creamy . The brush or sponges just glide over them. The application on the lid is a dream. Colors do not fade or crease all day even without the primer. No fall out during application.

Shades

All the colors are in the mauve to taupe family. This quad is a must have for taupe/mauve lovers. The complexity of the shades are combined with the ease of use for every day. This will be a staple in Tom Ford eye shadow quads and will be a crowd pleaser.

Top left : Shimmery soft pink Champagne color.

Top right : A gleaming taupe with soft tones of peach and a hint of pink. Very sophisticated complex shade.

Bottom left:  Shimmering light mauve with pink undertone.

Bottom right : A predominantly matte aubergine with dark bitter chocolate undertone.

The texture of the powders are fantastic. The colors are very pigmented and top quality. They are in harmony with each other and easily blendable. Stay power is quite good with and without primer, I would recommend using a primer so you can get the best finish with the shades.

Ingredients

No parabens or mineral oil. It has corn starch that will absorb the excess oil form the lids. Also has shea butter unsaponifiables (a natural anti-irritant) and soybean glycerides (anti-oxidant). The formula is soft, pigmented and does not crease even without a primer.
