Tom Ford Spring 2015 collection is just divine. I wanted to take the pictures under sunlight but sun is not showing up. I did not want to wait any longer to share one of these beauties , the beautiful Ripe Plum #01 Eye Color Duo.
Ripe Plum Eye Color Duo and other color duos are different than any of the other Tom Ford eye shadows. Like Nude Dip these shadows can be both used wet and dry. On another note, Tom Ford is presenting us with an innovative touch of opaline shimmer in these shadows. I haven’t seen this for a very long time and I must say it is quite refreshing to see a brand to step out of safe colors and change the game.
It is really to catch the soft pink of the lighter shade in the pictures.
Ripe Plum consists of two colors.
The lighter shadow is quite interesting. It looks creamy pink when applied it changes color. It has a beautiful opal like pearly pink sheen to it. The dark brown plum shade is another chameleon. Looks brown when applied alone. When you layer the light shade with the brown eye shadow. Voila! You have a third color. A beautiful dark plum with delicate pink iridescent shimmer. So you are not buying two eye shadows but actually three. Shades were swatched dry.
Here is a comparison with the darkest shade in Nude Dip on the right.
Stay power is impressive. It lasted at least 8 hours without primer. The eye shadow has excellent quality and does have an exquisite touch to the eye lids. Definitely a must have for Tom Ford Beauty lovers.
Finally sun came out. Here is Ripe Plum under the sun.
Ingredients
No parabens, no mineral oil. This formula does not have lots of botanicals possibly due to the nature of the pigments and wet-dry formula.
If you love brown and plums, this one is a definite one to have in your makeup arsenal.
