Tom Ford Eye Primer Duo: Review, Swatches and Ingredients

According to Tom Ford Beauty “The Eye Primer Duo enhances the performance of eye shadow by preventing creasing and extending wear for up to 15 hours”.

It is a pair of  an exquisitely soft cream and very finely milled powder primer. These products are formulated especially to further enhance the durability of Tom Ford eye shadows.

Bottom portion has cream primer. It is very buttery and glides on the lid when applied. It does not pull the skin. The texture is not thick as Laura Mercier Secret Concealer. First the cream primer is applied on the lids. You can apply the primer with a brush or with your fingertips. You can even use the cream primer on your lips or even under eye as a light concealer.

Top portion of the jar contains a mirror and a very light cream colored primer powder. It has a delicate and fine milled texture. The powder is applied after the cream to set the cream primer.

Swatches

The cream primer blends beautifully with the skin. The color is nude but completely disappears on the skin at one point you can think it is colorless. The powder primer is a very very light cream to white color. The powder immediately brightens the lid. I used Tom Ford In the Pink (click here) and She Wolf (review soon) with Tom Ford Eye Primer Duo. The primer made the application of the both shadows much more easier with superb color quality and shadows lasted as promised.

Top: Cream/eye primer has kaolin to absorb the excess oil of the lid so the primer/eye shadow can last longer. It also has Morinda Citrifolia Extract which is obtained from Noni fruit. Noni is rich in antioxidants that are important against wrinkles. The Polygonum Cuspidatum Extract from Japanese Giant Knotweed plant has also antioxidant properties. The primer is paraben-free.

Bottom: Powder Primer has some talc, Morinda Citrifolia (Noni Fruit) and Polygonum Cuspidatum Extracts (Japanese Giant Knotweed plant) for antioxidant properties. Powder is paraben-free.

Price:  $45. For a high-end primer the price can be considered economical. Considering you just need a swipe of each product from 7 ml of cream and 2.2 grams of powder primer. If you are in search for the prefect primer, try this one. :) It is unique and has excellent quality.
