Burberry Complete Eye Palette in Plum Pink #06

Burberry Eye Shadows are in a different league compared to others. When the palette came out I had hard time to decide which one I should get. Plum Pink was my choice.

Packaging is beautiful. The box has a cream colored linen finish with gunmetal colored shiny inside. The palette comes in a velvet pouch. The applicators are a sponge, a brush and an angle brush inserted in a little pocket of the velvet bag.

I prefer to use my own brushes. These little ones are ideal for travel and they are good quality.  None of the other eye shadow palettes come with this many applicators. I like the Burberry approach.

Brush pocket is lined with water proof material. This material is easy to clean. Just wipe it with a wet paper towel to get rid of the remnants of eye shadow.

The palette case is embossed with the checkered Burberry plaid in gunmetal color. It feels like metal. It has a magnetic lid which is better than the snap lid. Snap lids break off so easily. Infront of the lid you can see the Burberry label embossed. That helps me when I am in a hurry to see where to open the palette. Overall the presentation feels expensive, luxurious and modern.

Color and Texture

The shades in this palette are nice beige with subtle pink undertone ( darker than Porcelain), mid brown toned beige, a dark plum with red undertone, and a dark brown with very subtle purple tone. If you are looking for a very vivid purple this is not that one.The dark plum has very subtle shimmers and the rest are satin like matte.

The texture is creamy and application is buttery smooth. The colors are nicely pigmented and blend like a dream.

You can use each color separately. Each color looks beautiful on its own.You can use all of them to create an every day look  or a gorgeous smoky eye. They are buildable.

The colors in the palette were selected carefully, they compliment each other. These eye shadows are very easy to work with. There is no fall out. I used them with primer and without it. They last a very long time without creasing  on my lid even without the primer. Sold!

Ingredients

No parabens but high in talc content. So of you are not a fan of talc, this palette may not be for you. It has corn starch, which is great in absorbing the oil and prevent the creasing.  High level of silicone (dimethicone) is probably why the shadows apply so buttery and smooth. Potassium sorbate is usually used as preservative in combination with Tetrasodium EDTA in formulas.

Verdict

Great quality and stay power. Total package. Perfect of everyday use. Very much worth the money. Highly recommended. Get one today :)
