Scream for CC Cream?

We just got used to the concept of BB (Beauty or Blemish Balm) creams. Now, there is a new one coming: Color or Complexion Correction creams, in short the “CC Creams”.  Why are the CC Creams different?  CC creams are fomulated to brighten and even your skin tone.  They have more coverage then BB creams. CC creams are the hybrids of skincare and makeup with various actives to fight against aging and  protect from UV light.  CC creams are designed to prevent hyperpigmentation and wrinkles with spot-diminishing benefits.

They have a lighter and mousse-like texture then BB creams. CC creams have a +SPF of up to 35 , which is higher than current BB creams. To obtain high SPF, these creams possess high levels of zinc oxide and titanium dioxide. If you are sensitive to TiOx like me and can develop acne, I would recommend you to try these creams with a tester first.

A study published in British Journal of Dermatology in 2010 showed that Olay Total Effects CC Tone Correcting UV Moisturizer could lighten skin discoloration after 8 weeks. Based on the clinical data in this study, one could suggest improved skin tone and texture after use. On the other hand, as with every cosmetic product, everyone could have a different response to these products.

Overall:

• CC creams provide a better coverage and smoother complexion compared to BB creams.
• BB creams target first signs of aging whereas CC creams focus on the damage due to aging.
• BB creams can be used by all age groups. CC creams are like BB creams on steroids. They are more efficient against wrinkles and better for aging or aged skin.

iFiona CC Cream (Korea):  In their moisturizing and normal creams, they uses white and green tea extracts. You can find them from Ebay.
