Giorgio Armani – Maestro Eraser Concealer #2: Perfect for No Makeup Makeup!

Armani Maestro Eraser Concealer promises not only to conceal under eye discoloration but also diminish the dark circles under eyes in time.

The Maestro Eraser Concealer comes in a squeeze tube. It has a very thin and watery consistency. You have to be careful because the nozzle could release more than you would like to apply. So squeeze gently.

It comes in 6 different shades:
2 Porcelain
2.5 Fair
3 Sand
3.5 Medium Beige
4.5 Beige
5 Tan Beige

I purchased a full size of Number 2. It is a light beige with yellow undertones. The texture is thinner than YSL Touche Eclat. It has a weightless feel. It is easy to blend and adheres to the skin.

It is not only a concealer but also a brightener. The illuminating effect is due to very fine shimmers in the formula. They are not visible on the skin but they really brighten the eye area by reflecting the light. This concealer is not designed to conceal redness, skin blemishes or acne scars. It is specifically formulated for under eye area and dark circles.

I do not have very dark under eye circles and I haven’t been using this concealer long enough to determine whether it has an effect.

Coverage:

It has much less coverage than Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage or Cle de Peau concealer. This concealer has a light natural coverage. It is a beautiful concealer for a no makeup look. I wore it all day wear without any creasing. I found this concealer to be sheer for coverage under my eyes.

Ingredients

The formulation is quite unique compared to other concealers. It contains Haloxyl [Water (and) Glycerin (and) Steareth-20 (and) Hydroxysuccinimide (and) Chrysin (and) Palmitoyl Oligopeptide (and) Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7] reduce under-eye dark circles. The concealer also has caffeine agains puffiness. It does not have parabens. The pigmentation is beautiful with very light shimmer.

Verdict

Fantastic light-coverage concealer/highlighter. The effect is very natural for under eye.
I do not believe it is appropriate for skin blemishes or other discolorations. If you are looking for a complete coverage for discolorations on the face I would recommend a thicker cream type concealer.

Everyone who would need minimal undereye concealing and would like to have treatment for dark circles.
