Koh Gen Do Cleansing Spa Water: Review and Ingredients

Koh Gen Do Cleansing Spa Water is a makeup remover with a consistency of water.

It feels and looks like water. It has a very faint herbal scent. It smells clean and does not overwhelm.

I saturate a cotton ball with the product. I use it first to remove any foundation, blush, bronzer, powder, cc or bb cream on my face.

It removes all makeup without feeling greasy or heavy. Then I use a clean saturated cotton pad to remove the eye makeup.

Koh Gen Do Cleansing Spa Water removes all eye makeup without stinging or bothering my contacts. There is no breakout after cleansing either.

Ingredients

Propylene glycol has question marks as an ingredient. Sometimes people may confuse dipropylene glycol and propylene glycol and think they are the same thing. Dipropylene glycol (also called 1,2-propanedio) is produced as a byproduct of propylene glycol. Propylene glycol can lead to skin irritation on around 2% of people with eczema. Dipropylene glycol has less possibility to cause skin allergy compared to propylene glycol.

After clarifying this point, let’s discuss the ingredients.

Arginine: supports collagen synthesis and enhances skin elasticity.

Artemisia Princeps Leaf Extract (Japanese Mugworth): Skin conditioner

Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract: Stimulating

Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract: Skin conditioner

Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Extract: Skin conditioner

Perilla Ocymoides Leaf Extract: Skin calming agent

Betula Alba Juice (White Birch Sap): Provides the skin with minerals, vitamins, and amino acid for antiaging properties.

Zingiber Officinale (Ginger) Root Extract: Skin toning and conditioning agent

If that is a concern for you, It has only one paraben (methylparaben) in it.
